Trailiner is a truckload carrier operating in the 48 states since 1976. Our record of service is second to none. We haul various commodities ranging from produce and grocery to pharmaceutical and retail goods. The Trailiner customer service team specializes in quality service at competitive rates. Sales and customer service professionals work closely with current and potential customers to tailor a plan to fit individual shipping needs. Our service team expedites rate quotes and contracts, as well as maintains a good working relationship with each of our clients. With customer communication as a top priority, our customer service team is always available to provide comprehensive, up to the minute information to prevent surprises for Trailiner customers.

History

H. E. "Spook" Whitener started out as an owner-operator of his own trucks in 1955. In 1976, he started Midwest Farm Lines in Springfield, MO, which quickly expanded as its reputation for dependability, efficiency, and excellent customer service grew. By 1982, business had grown to a level that prompted H.E. to increase the scope of the company to offer better service to a greater number of customers and Trailiner Corporation was founded. "Spook" was joined by his daughter, Brenda Keithley, his wife, Liz and Larry Sanner who filled important roles in the then small company. Coming to the company later, his granddaughter, Amber Edmondson completes the management team and helps to ensure the family business will continue into the future. Through the efforts and dedication of the entire group, Trailiner has grown into a national corporation providing excellent service to customers across all 48 states.

Today's Trailiner management team offers over a century of collective experience in transportation and traffic management. We are well-equipped to meet the needs of our customers along with the needs of our drivers. By maintaining our long history of excellence Trailiner will thrive and continue to grow far into the future.

H.E. “Spook” Whitener

CEO

H.E. founded Trailiner in 1976 after having owned and driven trucks for 20 years himself. He saw an opportunity for growth in the transportation industry in the Springfield area with its easy access to I-44. 40 years later he and the company are still going strong, bringing his business into the 21st century with a great outlook for the next 40 years.

Brenda Keithley

Co-Chairman of the Board

Brenda came to work at Trailiner in 1977 in the payroll department. Since that time she has held many positions throughout the company. She currently serves as the Accounts Receivable Manager. Proud to be a family organization, Trailiner values all of its employees’ contributions. As H.E. Whitener’s daughter, Brenda serves as the Co-Chairman of the Board to ensure that Trailiner continues to be a family organization for many years to come.

Amber Edmondson

President

Amber came to Trailiner in 1999 at the urging of her grandpa Spook to work in Accounts Receivable while she was completing her degree in Business. Upon completion of her degree, Amber's role expanded into learning all aspects of the trucking business. As President, she deals with virtually every part of the business, including maintaining good relations with customers, customer contracts and pricing negotiation, 401(k) administration, and a host of other things to make sure the company runs smoothly.

Larry Sanner

Executive Vice President

From his beginnings as the tire shop manager, Larry went on to become the head of all maintenance, to the General Manager and now the Executive Vice President of the company. Working at Trailiner since 1977, Larry has a strong knowledge of the transportation business. His expertise is used to keep the terminal running smoothly in all areas of fleet maintenance and equipment replacement as well as operations.

Elizabeth Whitener

Vice President of Safety

1982 brought Liz to Trailiner in the log department. She moved into dealing with insurance liability until she eventually became the Safety director. Her current position over the safety department keeps her in contact with drivers on a daily basis, as well as her husband, the CEO who considers her his best friend. Her 30-plus years at Trailiner have given her ample experience to make sure our drivers are safe while they’re out on the road and that our customers’ commodities are always protected.

Farley Kutzner

Vice President of Sales & Dispatch

Starting out as a driver in 1977, Farley has been at Trailiner nearly since the beginning. Eventually moving into dispatch, he has cultivated relationships with drivers and customers alike. This blend of experience makes him uniquely suited to oversee both sales and dispatch.

Jodie Whitener

Operations Manager

Jodie is the nephew of the CEO and came to work for his uncle when he was only 16-years old. Since that humble beginning, he spent years running his own trucks, and eventually came to dispatch in 1990. Managing the department since 2000, he knows the trucking business as well as anyone in the organization.
